Sealed Bids: Twiggs County Board of Commissioners will accept sealed bids for the project titled Water System Improvements – Division A to serve Ridge Road, Old Gordon Road, & GA Kaolin Road. Bids are accepted until, Wednesday, June 18, at 4:00 PM at Twiggs County Courthouse, Jeffersonville, Georgia. Bids shall be submitted at the Board of Commissioners office, 425 Railroad Street, P.O. Box 202, Jeffersonville, Georgia, 31044 ATTN: Wilmarie Liz. All Bids will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) calendar days.
Work To Be Done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing materials and constructing the project titled Water System Improvements – Division A. The major items of construction include 13,200 linear feet of 12” water main; 350 linear feet of 6” water main; gate valves; fire hydrants; water services; and miscellaneous appurtenances. The work is considered an expansion of the water distribution system. All work shall be done in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Funding: Any Contract or Contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded through Local Funds and Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds.
