The Twiggs County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on August 21, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. to consider the Application for Conditional Use Approval submitted by Wolf Creek Landfill, LLC for the excavation of soil materials from adjacent soil borrow areas, which will constitute “mining’ under the Twiggs County Land Development Ordinance and the Surface Mining Rules in Georgia. The property is currently owned by Wolf Creek Landfill, LLC and located at 911 Landfill Rd, Dry Branch, Ga 31020 (T058 008, 010, 018 Parcel 119.03 # of Acres in Parcel 008 and 010, and 740.68 acres in Parcel 018).
The meeting will be conducted in the Twiggs County Board of Commissioners Meeting Room located on the first floor of the Twiggs County Courthouse, 425 Railroad Street North, Jeffersonville, Georgia. The public is invited to attend.
