Every county and city in Georgia is competing for development.  Many have been working at this for years, and are well organized and well financed in their activities.  Twiggs County has a need for enhanced economic development efforts in order to be competitive with others in the region and across the state.

Downtown Development

Downtown Jeffersonville was once a bustling community.  There is opportunity and need in Jeffersonville to to provide retail an commercial offerings in downtown, and continue the redevelopment of the downtown area beginning with the renovation of the Twiggs County Courthouse.


Milton Sampson - Chairperson

Twiggs County will develop and expand its water / wastewater services to industrial, populated, and business areas.  Place water hydrants and fire plugs in the three areas that have been identified.
